A Foodie Adventure in Stockholm

Let your taste buds guide you through the city as you go on a walking tour & indulge in Swedish meatballs, chocolate, cheeses & much more.

About Your Trip

Sweden’s capital will have you saying “fantastiskt!” — amazing! — as you sample your way through the city. You'll head out on an exciting, and delicious, walking tour to see the city’s top sights and savor a variety of local favorites. You can’t miss trying the city’s world-renowned meatballs and cheeses. You’ll also get a taste of fish soup, smoked licorice — which is salty instead of sweet — and Swedish chocolate that has been served at royal weddings!

Hope you’re still hungry! On the last night of your trip, you’ll be treated to an unforgettable 3-course farewell dinner at Sjatte Tunnan, which offers a glimpse into times gone by with a menu inspired by medieval recipes.

During free time, why not explore more of the medieval streets of Old Town on your own? Marvel at the beautiful, well-preserved Drottningholm Palace — once the royal court’s private summer residence! Or, spend time at your hotel dining at the French restaurant, pampering yourself with a spa treatment or relaxing in the sauna.

What we love:

• Swedish meatballs are traditionally served with gravy, boiled potatoes and lingonberry jam.
• Drottningholm Palace, Sweden’s first UNESCO World Heritage site, was inspired by the French Baroque architecture of the iconic Chateau de Versailles.
• Stockholm has been referred to as the “Venice of the North” because of its beautiful architecture and entrancing landscape.
• To maximize your enjoyment, download the DreamTrips™ app to access DreamTrips Local — then earn points on dining, entertainment, spa experiences & more at select spots recommended by DreamTrippers just like you!

Destination

Stockholm is the capital of Sweden and is composed of 14 islands on Lake Malaren. This historic city has proudly stood for over 700 years after being founded in 1252. From the church-lined cobblestoned roads of Gamla stan — Stockholm’s Old Town — to the paved streets of the cosmopolitan city center, this Swedish city has something for everyone. Residents and visitors alike frequent art and history museums, including the Nobel Museum, dedicated to the Nobel Prize and Stockholm’s most famous resident, Alfred Nobel. Booming local industries include the service and financial sectors — Stockholm is one of the cleanest cities in the world due to the lack of industrial complexes and absence of fossil fuels.
